Album Review: Lucifer's "Lucifer III"

Lucifer will be releasing their new album "Lucifer III" on Friday (March 20) and the effort is a killer display of 70's style hard rock.

The record kicks off with “Ghosts,” a rockin' track that really sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song is extremely catchy and is capable of hooking the listener right from the get-go. This trend continues as the infectious “Midnight Phantom” kicks in before transitioning to the mellower “Leather Demon.”

As you continue to move through the record, you continue to find more bangers, like the band's exceptional eponymous track, which is definitely an album highlight. The song has a way of capturing the listener, before giving way to more gems like "Pacific Blues" and "Coffin Fever," which continue to build on the band's doomy and bluesy vibe.

From there, fans are presented with another highlight, the hard-hitting "Flanked By Snakes," and the mesmerizing "Stay Astray." Both songs add to the captivating nature of the album and help set the stage for "Cemetery Eyes," a perfect closing track that leaves the listener wanting more.

When all is said and done, it's clear to see that “Lucifer III” is a work of art that proves rock music is far from dead.
