Affordable Beauty Products To Help You Through Summer Shows

Summer is slowly but surely arriving upon us and that means it's time for music festivals and outdoor concerts. It also means it's time to be in the hot sun all day with thousands of your closest, music-loving strangers and sweating a LOT. But you can't let the sweat and summer sun keep you from looking absolutely sparkling this festival season. Ladies and gentlemen, we can beat our faces for the gods and make sure it lasts the intensity of our pop-punk finger pointing or two-stepping.

Last year, I wrote up an article specifically to help other do just that; but since makeup products are always coming out with newer and better ideas than ever before I thought we could revisit this. So for all of you makeup lovers out there, here is a list of AFFORDABLE (that's key here, because no one has $600 for all new makeup) makeup products that will last you throughout all of your concert needs.

Wet 'n' Wild Ultimate Brow Kit: $4

Definitely a product I was hesitant on at first, but at the time I could not afford Anastasia's dip brow and I really wanted an ash-y toned brown for my brows. So I spent the few dollars at Target and picked this up and it's transformed my brows honestly. They look better than ever before and they hold up super well for being drastically cheaper.

Makeup Revolution Strobe Highlighter: $6

I picked this up at Ulta totally on a whim, hoping it would look as cool as it did in the package. I LIVE for this highlighter now. It's super packed with pigment and I've never shined quite so much like a diamond before. I got the shade "Holographic Lights" but they have a few other tones. I'd go so far as to say it's a good dupe for some of the ABH Glow Kit colors. Well worth the $6 you spend on this!

Wet 'n' Wild Color Icon Bronzer: $4

This is pretty highly regarded for bronzers and natural looking contours. It's got an SPF 15 in it which is helpful on those sunny summer days and it's oil free! Not only does this look gorgeous and luminous on skin, but it also received an O-ward from Oprah Magazine so you know it's not going to disappoint.

Wet 'n' Wild Photo Focus Foundation: $6

This foundation comes in 20 different shades and beauty guru's can't stop talking about it. The photo focus idea is to make a foundation that can look flawless in various lighting situations, so they tested it in 7 different light situations, with and without flash and ensured this was top notch before releasing. For $6 you can not beat this foundation, and you won't find something that will work as well as this will for that price range.

LA Girl Pro Concealer: $5

This is well regarded for the color correction concealers as well as the highlighting concealers. It's been called a dupe for Urban Decay's Naked Skin Color Correcting Liquid but at literally a ninth of the cost. If you run red and need some color correction, love to add some dimension to your face routine, or want to conceal a blemish this product is absolutely for you!

NYX Epic Ink Liner: $8

This was another, I need something cheap but still not crappy purchase I made and I'm SO glad I did. This is waterproof and lasts throughout the whole day for me, and considering my allergies that's an amazing fete. I love how this liner applies and I love how well it can withstand sun and sweat and tears...I mean.....

Colourpop Super Shock Shadows: $5

These shadows are something to really talk about. They have a creamy texture and apply smooth as butter. As you could probably tell in last year's article, I'm obsessed with Colourpop and these shadows are no exception. They have so many fun, glittery shades and definitely can withstand the madness that may ensue on that Every Time I Die/Taking Back Sunday tour this summer.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara: $7

Obviously waterproof is always the way to go, but this Rimmel mascara has something even more special here. It's been said to be a comparable dupe for Too Faced's Better Than Sex mascara, and everyone knows how popping that can make your lashes. Definitely a great drug store product that will easily last you through the messiest of shows!

Colourpop Ultra Metallic Lip: $6

Colourpop released a line of metallic lips about a year ago now and what started as just a few colors has grown into something really rad here. Colourpop is the queen of affordable makeup in my very humble, but obviously right opinion and this particularly reigns true for their lip lines. Metallics are hot this summer, so that's why I included this line specifically but I love their Ultra Satin's and Matte's as well. These products last pretty well throughout the day and the range of colors are expansive. A must-have for affordable lips all around!
