4 Things That Would Improve Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go has been out for a week now and players are discovering new glitches, hacks, and tips to better their Pokemon. We asked around on how Niantic/Nintendo could improve the game and here are our results.
Interaction With Other Players
The game is making people leave the house but we still should able to interact with other players. Chat with them either voice or text. Like a MMORPG with Pokemon.
Different Music/Spotify Integration
Everyone remembers the classic music from Red/Blue/Yellow. Wouldn't it be great to enable that soundtrack on the game while you play? You're catching the original 150 Pokemon, so it seems like a no brainer. Spotify integration would great as well.
Pokemon Go Plus (Pedometer)
According to IGN, Pokemon Go uses both your phone's pedometer as well as the GPS to calculate how far you've actually walked. However, Nintendo will be releasing an official pedometer companion called, Pokemon Go Plus at the end of this month for $34.99.
Data Usage Reduction
Pokemon Go can average anywhere from 2MB - 8MB+ of data per hour, dependent on a variety of gameplay factors (Eg. Battling, Capturing, Walking), Pokemon Go Database reports. The article goes on to say that, "Based on this information, if half of a 2GB data plan is allocated to playing Pokemon Go, users can reasonably expect to play four to six hours per day without an any issue. If Pokemon Go is played for more than six hours per day, an upgraded data plan may be needed."
One solution, albeit not a viable one, is to download local maps on Google Maps for the areas you frequent the most. Obviously, if you're in an area that has a wifi, this won't be an issue.
